Government Funding for Internet

Many of you are taking advantage of the new Spectrum System for the Internet in town. But did you know that the Federal Communications Commission is offering money for your internet bill?

The FCC through the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is offering qualified participants $30 per month from your bill if you meet certain requirements for income levels or are on certain government programs like Medicaid, SNAP, Public Housing, Veterans Pension or Survivor Benefits, and many other programs.

What you need to do is call 877-384-2575 or email to APSupport@usac.org and apply. You will get an acceptance letter from this program which you will forward to Spectrum, and they will take $30 from your monthly internet service bill.

Included in the ACP is another program where you can receive money for the purchase of a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet.
