ATHOL - The COVID vaccination site at the Athol Senior Center will continue on Mondays from 9am to 1pm subject to availability of vaccine in partnership with Heywood Healthcare, according to Town Manager Shaun A. Suhoski.
For the ongoing clinics, the North Quabbin Chamber of Commerce has created a new telephone number dedicated to registration: 978-830-0013. Appointments will be scheduled on Thursday mornings prior to the next clinic from 10am to 2pm or until all slots are filled.
“We are operating under the belief that Athol will have another 200 doses of the Pfizer vaccine for Mondays clinic,” said Suhoski. “The first clinic was well-organized and had a tremendous amount of support from staff and volunteers. We’re hopeful to be able to offer more vaccination doses if our supply chain can increase.”
Persons eligible for appointments include anyone eligible under Phase 1, and those currently eligible under Phase 2 including, individuals age 65+, individuals with two or more certain medical conditions and residents and staff of low income and affordable senior housing.
Due to the limited vaccine supply those who are eligible and able to travel are encouraged to register for the Gardner/Heywood site or a statewide clinic.
