Select Board

Royalston’s three-member Select Board is the chief executive branch of local government, and attends to the legal affairs of the Town. Working with town department heads, and in consultation with the Advisory Board, the Select Board draws up the annual town budget and presents it to town meeting voters. Additional responsibilities include calling town meetings and elections, setting public policy, setting certain fees, overseeing certain volunteer and appointed bodies, and creating basic regulations. Copies of the official record are available from the Selectboard’s office for a small copying fee.

Town Hall Use

The use of Town Hall or other town facility for any function requires approval by the Select Board, and an application for use is available below.  For the use of Town Hall  – a signed TH Use Rules document (available below) is also required.  Applications should be submitted to the Administrative Assistant at least 30 days prior to the desired date.
