Board of Assessors

The three members of the Board of Assessors are required by state law to value all real and personal property within the town and to annually determine the tax rate needed to cover state and local appropriations.  Additionally, assessors consider requests for personal exemptions and for abatements for overvaluations. The assessors’ office prepares certified abutters lists and provides assessors’ maps, assessment lists, deeds, and property record cards for review.
