The Right of Way plan, detailed below, presents information relative to several types of easements requested by the Town of Royalston relative to the Athol-Richmond Road (Route 32) rehabilitation project. An easement is temporary or permanent permission for land use given to another party by the landowner.  Easements are recorded on individual deeds at the land records office in Worcester. 

In this case, the Town is requesting permission for Temporary Construction Easements and Permanent Drainage and Cleanout Easements.  The Temporary Easements allow construction vehicles and supplies to enter or be stored on private land.  The Permanent Easements allow for road drainage to flow onto private land or allow Town vehicles to enter for drain cleaning.  Most of the easements in this plan are small areas around culverts or basins.

The current Easement Plan is below.  It is listed by Plan Sheet Number because of its size.  Plan Sheet Numbers 9 and 10 contain the list of requested easements and therefore act as the index.  If you would like to review the printed copy of this document, please contact the Selectmen’s Office by email or phone 978-249-9641.
